Living in Sandton, Johannesburg, I often see organic market street sign, and so, one day I’ve made some search to find where it was. Find out the information that I need, here I am, saturday morning and I’m ready to go around at Bryanston Organic Market Village. This organic outdoor market I’ve found later is managed by a local community for 30 years
We start our saturday morning with a nice cappuccino and a wonderful chocolate muffin made a few ours before i one of those small coffe shops.
The sun certainly helps good mood and croissant smell isn’t kidding… The market is inside a school, if you follow the street signs you can’t miss it, even for telling the truth, directions here aren’t so accurate.
This village is consisting of various stands and small stores. Indeed you can find a food court with organic products such vegetables and fruits, bakery, cheese, sausage, jams…
And cosmetics like creams, body lotions, shampoos, soaps etc… You can find also hand-packed crafts objects, artwork and clothes made by natural fibers, bracelets, necklaces….
The market isn’t so big, but it’s nice to go in the early morning to have breakfast with your friends and then to buy or try some bio products one of the stands right there.
Bryanston Organic Village Market is opened only on Tuesday or Saturday from 9am to 3pm, and it’s located at 231 Bryanston Dr., Sandton.
