How to reach Key West in Florida

If you’re on vacation in Florida and you wanna reach Key West Island to see among its attractions the famous Duval Street and then enjoy all the wonderful Keys islands, well, you know that you have several options to reach Key West. Let’s see them together.

You can walk there from everywhere you are … .I’m kidding, of course! 🙂 There are several airlines that flight to Key West, you can search a flight to Key West, a lot of them are departing from Miami, or you can arrive to KW by bus, by car, ferry and also with some organized tour.

I’ve personally opted by car, so I’m free to move and stop independently during the way, when and how much I want, in the small islands and bridges that take you to Key West.

Remember that once you’re arrived to Key West, which is the last Keys’ Island, you don’t need the car so much, you can easily leave it in the hotel’s parking, and move with their public transportations or with the hotel shuttle if they offer this service to their customers, but it depends on where you got the hotel and where you want to go.

To get to Key West you have to go through the US Route 1, a beautiful route, with the ocean on both sides. You can stop along the way in various islands that you’ll find on the street, to see the beautiful scenery in front of you with wonderful turquoise water.

I suggest you to drive through during the day because it’s very suggestive rather than the night. During the night you wouldn’t see anything special and it could be a really boring street, it’s all plain and straight to Key West and also during the night the speed limit is lower so and you have to go slower and it seems that you’ll never arrive at destination.
